Growing Practice Areas
Our gradually-growing law firm in Metro Manila has progressed from its humble beginnings into a humbled but bolder firm offering legal aids in several fields of law. All of our endeavors and practices adjoin our office’s advocacies and align to our inclination towards justice.
Property Acquisitions and Compliance
This covers land, buildings, roads, and other structures both horizontal and vertical. We provide comprehensive legal services regarding property acquisition, sale, mortgage, lease, consolidation, and other aspects of property use and development. We aim to help our clients practice due diligence regarding their property, in line with 2 Timothy 2:15 — “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
Corporate law concerns all the legal issues related to running a corporation. Our experienced corporate lawyers can facilitate corporate governance, business practices, negotiations, and other legal and financial functions for our clients. We assist corporations in strictly adhering to the law, as we have been instructed in Romans 13:1: “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.”
Intellectual property laws exist to protect and secure the rights of inventors, artists, and others to their unique property and creations. Our lawyers have experience in registering and defending trademarks, patents, copyright, and related rights. They also assist in managing and enforcement of such rights — we do so because we believe in our client’s rights to the fruit of their labor. As said in Proverbs 10:2 “Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.”
This covers disputes involving unpaid fees or debts. Perhaps you need assistance collecting money from someone, but want to avoid a court trial? Our claims enforcement services will help you get paid as per your agreements with the concerned party. We help in this area because we should “pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed” — Romans 13:7.
Our arbitration services are based on Exodus 22:5, which states “If a man causes a field or vineyard to be grazed over, or lets his beast loose and it feeds in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best in his own field and in his own vineyard.” Arbitration is a way of settling a dispute between two parties. Our team seeks to find a resolution that both parties wholeheartedly agree to — instead of court action. Our services can be a straightforward, cost-effective, and quick alternative solution for even difficult legal issues.
Commercial law is a branch of private law that regulates commercial acts, such as merchandising, trading, sales. It governs what rights and conducts persons and businesses have when they engage in commerce, and what relationships two or more parties have in this situation. We seek to enforce fair trade and compensation for our clients, as instructed by Leviticus 25:14 — “If you make a sale, moreover, to your friend or buy from your friend’s hand, you shall not wrong one another.”
Romans 4:4 says “Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due.” We believe every employee in the Philippines should be given fair pay — it is a God-given right. In line with that, we provide labor relations services. Labor relations identifies the rules and standards of employment. This includes aspects like pre-employment policies, wage rate, work hours, employee benefits, labor conditions, termination policies, and more.
Litigation is a legal proceeding where one party takes action against another. It is a process involving lawsuits, legal cases, and judicial disputes. This is typically done when the parties cannot agree between themselves on the proper outcome of their dispute. In these cases, we can assist you in finding a fair and just result — “For every breach of trust [the] case of both parties shall come before God. The one whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor” – Exodus 22:9.
This is the process of two parties coming into an agreement using a set of legally binding terms. When two parties negotiate, they both want to settle on favorable terms with minimized risk. We help our clients in finding a balance that suits both parties. The key biblical principle we follow here is from 1 Corinthians 10:24 — “Try to do what is good for others, not just what is good for yourselves.” We go the extra mile to consider what each contract will cost the other party, as well.
This term comes from the Latin phrase: “pro bono publico,” meaning “for the public good.” As a Christian law firm, we believe in providing effective and righteous legal services for those who need it the most — performed at reduced rates or free of charge. We provide such services at our own cost because this is the right thing to do, as directly stated in the bible — “Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy,” in Proverbs 31:9.
This area of law follows the Civil Code of the Philippines — which primarily concerns family and property relations in the country. It deals with people’s relationships with other parties, property rights, business agreements, and other legal issues not involved with criminal activity. In this aspect of the law, we seek to bring just and fair resolutions for all of our clients. We strictly follow the verse Psalm 106:3, which says “Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!”
This defines what actions are considered a crime. It describes the types, duration, and effects of criminal penalties. It also outlines criminal liability and circumstances where one may be exempted from liability. We seek to inform our clients regarding their rights when it concerns criminal law, and do our best to protect said rights regardless of their circumstance, as instructed in Leviticus 19:15 — “You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.”
As stated in 1 Timothy 5:8: “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever,” which is why we offer estate planning. This is a process where clients (and their families) arrange their assets in anticipation of their death. We assist in managing, transferring, and preserving the assets of our clients to the benefit of their intended beneficiaries. This ensures their families are provided for before their passing.
Corporate & Special Projects
We offer a full range of legal services for various corporate projects. These include situations such as corporate rehabilitation, mergers and acquisitions, legal guidance on new programs, strategy on intra-corporate issues, finance assistance, liquidation, and other events that may happen to a corporation. In this, we take care to provide accurate and virtuous legal services. We believe it is our duty, as we are told in Galatians 6:10: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
