Our arbitration services are based on Exodus 22:5, which states “If a man causes a field or vineyard to be grazed over, or lets his beast loose and it feeds in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best in his own field and in his own vineyard.” Arbitration is a way of settling a dispute between two parties. Commercial law is a branch of private law that regulates commercial acts, such as merchandising, trading, sales. It governs what rights and conducts persons and businesses have when they engage in commerce, and what relationships two or more parties have in this situation. We seek to enforce fair trade and compensation for our clients, as instructed by Leviticus 25:14 — “If you make a sale, moreover, to your friend or buy from your friend’s hand, you shall not wrong one another.”
Labor Relations
Romans 4:4 says “Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due.” We believe every employee in the Philippines should be given fair pay — it is a God-given right. In line with that, we provide labor relations services. Labor relations identifies the rules and standards of employment. This includes aspects like pre-employment policies, wage rate, work hours, employee benefits, labor conditions, termination policies, and more.
Litigation
Litigation is a legal proceeding where one party takes action against another. It is a process involving lawsuits, legal cases, and judicial disputes. This is typically done when the parties cannot agree between themselves on the proper outcome of their dispute. In these cases, we can assist you in finding a fair and just result — “For every breach of trust [the] case of both parties shall come before God. The one whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor” – Exodus 22:9.
Contract Negotiations
This is the process of two parties coming into an agreement using a set of legally binding terms. When two parties negotiate, they both want to settle on favorable terms with minimized risk. This term comes from the Latin phrase: “pro bono publico,” meaning “for the public good.” As a Christian law firm, we believe in providing effective and righteous legal services for those who need it the most — performed at reduced rates or free of charge. We provide such services at our own cost because this is the right thing to do, as directly stated in the bible — “Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy,” in Proverbs 31:9.
Civil Law
This area of law follows the Civil Code of the Philippines — which primarily concerns family and property relations in the country. It deals with people’s relationships with other parties, property rights, business agreements, and other legal issues not involved with criminal activity. In this aspect of the law, we seek to bring just and fair resolutions for all of our clients. We strictly follow the verse Psalm 106:3, which says “Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!”
Criminal Law
This defines what actions are considered a crime. It describes the types, duration, and effects of criminal penalties. It also outlines criminal liability and circumstances where one may be exempted from liability. We seek to inform our clients regarding their rights when it concerns criminal law, and do our best to protect said rights regardless of their circumstance, as instructed in Leviticus 19:15 — “You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.”
Estate Planning
As stated in 1 Timothy 5:8: “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever,” which is why we offer estate planning. This is a process where clients (and their families) arrange their assets in anticipation of their death. We assist in managing, transferring, and preserving the assets of our clients to the benefit of their intended beneficiaries. This ensures their families are provided for before their passing.
